Mission Viejo 38, Capistrano Valley 35--The Diablos (10-9, 3-3), led by Kortney Okura’s 13 points, held on to a six-point halftime lead. Jennifer Garrett scored 20 for Capistrano Valley (10-8, 2-4).

Trabuco Hills 41, Dana Hills 35--Dyanna Hatch scored 17 and LaShieka Henderson had 15 points for visiting Trabuco Hills (15-6, 3-3). Sara Herkenhoff scored 13 for Dana Hills (4-18, 0-6).

In the Academy League:

Capistrano Valley Christian 42, Liberty Christian 36--Hayley Hall had 17 points and five assists and teammate Jessica Olivier had 20 rebounds for host Capistrano Valley Christian (7-10, 3-2).

In the Pacific Coast League:

University 42, Laguna Beach 31--Lyz Day had 11 points for visiting University (14-5, 5-0). Chrissy Chambers scored 13 for Laguna Beach (3-14, 0-5).

In the Orange League:

Brea Olinda 100, Anaheim 28--Lee Moulin scored 19, Kiyoko Miller 17 and Dawn Metz 15 for the No. 3 Ladycats (18-2, 6-0).

Magnolia 44, Savanna 29--Andrea Picchi had 14 points and 16 rebounds for visiting Magnolia (14-5, 4-2).

In the Sunset League:

Esperanza 57, Los Alamitos 31--Lyndsay Foss scored 16 points and Leah Combs 12 for No. 9 Esperanza (15-5, 3-2). Christa Ellis had 11 points and 15 rebounds for Los Alamitos (6-13, 0-5).

In nonleague boys’ basketball:

Fountain Valley 67, Ocean View 66 (2 OT)--Dan Keller won it for No. 9 Fountain Valley (13-6) with a layup with two seconds left. Ocean View’s Mike Seguin sent the game into overtime with a three-point basket as time expired. Keller led the Barons (13-6) with 15 points and Dan McDonald had 15 for the Seahawks (14-9).

In Century League girls’ soccer:

El Modena 11, Santa Ana Valley 0--Kaylee Whitfield, Robin Wadsworth, Erin Warren and Jennifer Nelson each had two goals for No. 10 El Modena (15-4, 5-0), which has shut out all its league opponents.

In the Sunset League:

Los Alamitos 5, Esperanza 0--No. 3 Los Alamitos (12-3-2, 3-1-1) was led by Liz Willemse’s three goals, which give her 11 this season. Cyndi Tredway and Ali Ponce also scored for the Griffins.
