Mormon Leader Has Cancer

SALT LAKE CITY — The Mormon Church said Wednesday that its 87-year-old president, Howard W. Hunter, is suffering from prostate cancer and it has spread to his bones. Hunter, who took over as head of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in June, was released from the hospital Monday and is resting at home, the church announced.
