SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO : Neighborhood Watch Coordinator Is Named
- Share via
The city has a new Neighborhood Watch coordinator who is available to make presentations to residents interested in the volunteer crime-prevention program.
The coordinator’s position, held by Soc Saccoman, was created to help residents form new Neighborhood Watch groups and support the city’s existing 15 Neighborhood Watch groups, according to Yomar Cleary of San Juan Capistrano Police Services.
The anti-crime program relies on neighbors keeping an eye for suspicious activity on their block and reporting it to police.
Neighborhood Watch presentations take about an hour, followed by a question-and-answer session. An on-duty sheriff’s deputy also stops by to answer any questions of homeowners.
To request a presentation, call (714) 443-6369.
