National Medical Enterprises Reports Profit: The second-biggest U.S. for-profit hospital chain earned $46.2 million in the September-November quarter, the second of its fiscal year, contrasted with a loss of $226.2 million a year earlier. It said the gain was due mainly to selling and closing psychiatric hospitals. Revenue fell from $758.7 million to $638.7 million because of asset sales.
