BRIEFLY : Parks: Lincoln Reopens Saturday

Lincoln Park in Santa Monica will reopen Saturday after being closed nearly a year for renovations.
The park, at Lincoln and Wilshire boulevards, will be reopened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m., with live entertainment throughout the afternoon.
The park renovation included reconstruction of Miles Memorial Playhouse and the facility features two full basketball courts, a children’s area with new play equipment, and horseshoe and shuffleboard courts.
In addition, a staff team has been assigned to assist park users.
