Trammell Crow Partnerships Seek Bankruptcy Protection: Trammell Crow Interests of Dallas said the petition, filed in Phoenix, came after the failure of months of negotiations toward restructuring a $295-million loan. The company represents Crow family investments among the 46 partnerships, which hold properties in California, Colorado, Georgia, New Mexico, North Carolina, Texas and Arizona. Each partnership owns one property. Kathy Smalley, vice president of Trammell Crow Interests, said none of the partnerships has defaulted on payments but that the market is troubled. The partnerships are not affiliated with Trammell Crow Residential, an Atlanta apartment developer and manager that operates 7,000 units in the Southwest.
