Texas Pan American tied a school record for allowing the fewest points as the Broncs (4-5) recorded a 53-29 victory over Minnesota Duluth (8-5) at Edinburg, Tex. Pan American held Northern Michigan 29 points in a 30-29 victory in 1970. Pan American scored only one field goal in the final 13:59 of the first half. ... Eric Washington scored 20 points, including five three-pointers, and Jamal Faulkner had 18 as Alabama (8-2) dominated Central Connecticut State (2-5) in recording a 86-39 victory at Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Troy Gray had 20 points and Marshall (7-3) set a record for three-point goals with 14 in an 89-64 victory over Eastern Kentucky (2-8) at Huntington, W.Va. ... Jerald Honeycutt and LeVeldro Simmons each had 27 points and Tulane (10-2) outshot Drake 26-10 from the foul line in a 86-72 victory over the Bulldogs (2-6) at New Orleans. The Green Wave has now won 21 consecutive nonconference home games. ... North Carolina State sophomore Jeremy Hyatt came off the bench to spark a 14-0 run that erased a brief Winthrop lead and helped the Wolfpack (7-2) to an 89-46 victory over the Eagles (3-5) at Raleigh, N.C. ... Seton Hall (10-2, 1-1) recorded a 72-54 Big East victory over Miami (5-4, 0-2) at East Rutherford, N.J. The Hurricanes have lost 20 consecutive Big East regular-season games.
