Call it the Damon Stoudamire show.

Stoudamire unleashed a second-half defensive assault as No. 10 Arizona pushed past Texas Tech, 88-82, Friday night to claim its 10th consecutive Fiesta Bowl Classic title in Tucson.

The Red Raiders had led for much of the first half before Stoudamire tied the game at 46 with two free throws 2.9 seconds before intermission.

Stoudamire, who scored 27 points, made a free throw to crack a 48-48 tie with 16:52 left, then hit a three-pointer as Arizona (9-2) used a man-to-man press to set up a 10-point run.

Meanwhile, Texas Tech (4-4), which made 51.5% of its first-half shots, made only one of its first 14 shots during the first 7 1/2 minutes of the second half. The Red Raiders shot only 28% in the second half.

Mark Davis led Texas Tech with 21 points, but scored only five in the second half before fouling out late in the game.

No. 7 Duke 76, No. 17 Georgia Tech 69--Duke got 18 points and 12 rebounds from Cherokee Parks and 15 points and 13 rebounds from Erik Meek as the seventh-ranked Blue Devils (8-2) got past the Yellow Jackets (8-3) in a game between Atlantic Coast Conference teams in the fifth-place game of the Rainbow Classic in Honolulu.

Travis Best led the Yellow Jackets with 19 points.

No. 8 Connecticut 88, Northeastern 70--Donny Marshall scored 26 points to lead the No. 8 Huskies (7-0) in Hartford, Conn.

It was the first matchup between Connecticut Coach Jim Calhoun and Dave Leitao, a former Connecticut assistant in his first season at Northeastern (5-4).

No. 9 Maryland 98, American 77--Johnny Rhodes (17 points and 10 assists) made two of Maryland’s school-record 11 three-pointers in a 22-0 second-half run that propelled the Terrapins (10-2) past the Eagles (0-10) in College Park, Md.

No. 13 Florida 87, St. Francis 72--Dion Cross had 21 points and seven assists to help the Gators (6-2) past the Red Flash (4-4).

After a 38-38 first half, Florida turned up the offense in the second half.

No. 18 Wake Forest 95, Marshall 59--Tim Duncan made all six of his shots, grabbed 15 rebounds and blocked eight shots as the Demon Deacons (7-1) defeated the Thundering Herd (6-3) in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Hawaii 75, No. 20 Cincinnati 66--Tony Maroney had 23 points and 11 rebounds and the Rainbows held off a furious rally by the Bearcats (8-5) for an upset victory in the third-place game of the Rainbow Classic in Honolulu.

No. 22 New Mexico State 85, Bethune Cookman 55--Clyde Jordan scored 17 points and pulled down a career-high 16 rebounds to lead the Aggies (9-2) to a rout of the Wildcats (2-6) in Las Cruces, N.M.

Bryant Boston scored 21 points and made three layups during a late 6-0 Washington run as the Huskies (4-3) defeated Michigan (6-5), 65-61, in the championship game of the Air Time Tournament at Seattle. . . . Brandon Jessie and Keith Van Horn each scored 16 points to lead Utah (9-3) to its eighth consecutive victory in an 85-52 rout of Northern Arizona (3-7) in Salt Lake City. . . . Dominick Young scored a career-high 29 points to lead Fresno State (5-3) to a 88-61 nonconference victory over St. Francis (4-6) in Fresno. . . . Kebu Stewart made a 35-foot, three-point buzzer-beater to end regulation, and Nevada Las Vegas (2-4) went on to defeat Central Florida (2-6) in overtime, 103-90, in Orlando, Fla. . . . Dion Cross scored 18 points as Stanford (9-0) beat Cornell (3-4), 67-55, Thursday night.
