BREA / YORBA LINDA : 10 Accused of Selling Liquor to a Minor
Police arrested 10 employees from Brea and Yorba Linda businesses who allegedly sold liquor to an underage police cadet during a decoy operation designed to curb alcohol sales to minors, authorities said Friday.
On Thursday night, undercover detectives, accompanied by the police cadet, tried to buy alcohol from at least 15 businesses, including restaurants, grocery stores and mini-marts, according to police.
As a result, 10 employees who allegedly sold liquor to the minor without asking for identification were cited and released on misdemeanor citations, police said.
Police ask that anyone with information about sales of alcohol to minors in Brea or Yorba Linda call Detective Randy Smeal at (714) 990-7617.
