SYLMAR : Friend Arrested in Man’s Fatal Stabbing

Los Angeles police Thursday arrested a 24-year-old Sylmar man they say stabbed his friend to death during an argument earlier this week.
Erik Garcia was taken into custody at his home about 3 p.m., Detective Frank Bishop said.
Bishop said Garcia and several other friends were standing at the Foothill Boulevard garage of Paul Melius’ girlfriend’s house Monday night when Melius and Garcia got into an argument. Garcia slashed Melius, who stumbled into the house and died as Garcia fled, Bishop said.
