Cam Data Systems Inc.: The Fountain Valley producer of inventory management and point-of-sale systems reported profit of $264,500, or 13 cents a share, for the fiscal year ended Sept. 30. That was down from earnings of $700,300, or 36 cents a share, for the previous 12 months. Annual revenue was up 11% to $13.2 million from $11.9 million. The company attributed the earnings decline to investments in the company’s service and product development groups. Fourth-quarter profit fell to $41,000, or 2 cents a share, from $217,000, or 11 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Three-month revenue rose 13% to $3.5 million from $3.1 million.
