Group Will Meet to Review Navy Cleanup
The Restoration Advisory Board, a group of military and community representatives reviewing the toxic cleanup of U. S. Navy property, will hold its next meeting Wednesday night in Port Hueneme.
The Navy is in various stages of cleaning up old spills of toxic materials at the Naval Construction Battalion Center in Port Hueneme, the Naval Air Weapons Stations at Point Mugu and the former Naval Civil Engineering Laboratory at the mouth of the Port of Hueneme.
The board meeting will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Orvene Carpenter Community Center, 550 Park Ave.
