OXNARD : Suspect Arrested in Boy’s Molestation

A 29-year-old Oxnard man accused of molesting a 9-year-old boy repeatedly during a two-year period has been arrested, police said Thursday.
Mariano Fernandez Cerda turned himself in at the Oxnard Police Station on Wednesday after the boy reported the molestation to police, police said.
Cerda was booked on suspicion of child molestation and domestic violence. He was being held Thursday at Ventura County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail. An investigation is continuing, police said.
