* Douglas Marney; Theater Managing Director

Douglas Marney, 42, managing director of Theatre West in Hollywood for the last eight years. A native of Montana who grew up in Wyoming, Marney graduated summa cum laude in theater arts from the University of Montana. He began his career as an actor, working at the Big Fork Summer Playhouse and in musicals and classic drama in Cirque Dinner Theater, Skid Row Theater, Pioneer Square and other Seattle venues. Switching to administration, he moved to Los Angeles and Theatre West as managing director in 1986. On Nov. 23 in Los Angeles after a long illness.
