TUSTIN : Lighting Ceremony Planned for Thursday
For the 10th consecutive year, the city will celebrate the holiday season with a tree-lighting ceremony at City Hall. Up to 1,000 people are expected to attend the event, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Hosting the festivities will be Mayor Thomas R. Saltarelli and Margarete Thompson, Parks and Recreation Commission chairwoman. Entertainment will be provided by the Foothill High School Carolers.
Following the ceremony, Santa Claus will be available for photos in the Community Center atrium and refreshments will be served.
Also, the annual Old Town Holiday Walk will take place. Merchants in Old Town and Larwin Square will keep their stores open until 9 p.m. for holiday shoppers.
