Simi Valley music boosters will host a dinner and auction Friday night to raise money for the Simi Valley High School marching band.
The band needs $6,000 to meet its annual $58,000 budget, boosters said. The money will be used to purchase uniforms, instruments and to pay for transportation to band competitions.
Friday’s tri-tip dinner will cost $5 and begins at 7 p.m. in the Sequoia Junior High School multipurpose room. A silent auction will be held during dinner, and an open auction will begin after dinner at 8 p.m.
People wanting to donate items for the auction should call 522-2025 or 581-4720.
Donated items will be accepted through Thursday.
