TV Should Cease Teaching to Kill
The classic showdown scenario transpired earlier this week: Two opposing sides met up in town, exchanged menacing glares and verbal threats. Guns were drawn, a scuffle ensued, shots fired and two lay dead.
We’ve seen it a hundred times on TV but this showdown was not in Dodge City, it was Woodbridge Center in Irvine!
It’s time to wake up and realize our society is being meticulously taught, by our beloved boob tubes, how to kill. Let’s demand the public networks stretch their collective creativity. Produce programming that lifts its viewers to higher levels of thought rather than programs that reduce the caliber of entertainment to watching violence.
We can’t blame everything on the gangs.
