Tax Dollars in Support of Atheism
In the ongoing lawsuit between John Peloza and the Capistrano Valley Unified School District, the central issue of the case is whether or not Peloza was told to teach evolution as fact.
The attorney for the (school district), David Larsen, predicted that Peloza could not support his contention that he was told to teach evolution as fact. Larsen further stated that (Peloza) was told to teach in accordance with state guidelines, and that those guidelines are specific about maintaining neutrality on the issue of whether or not there’s a creator.
Obviously, the California State Department of Education views evolution as a scientific fact. It also makes Larsen’s argument without merit on two counts: (1) the following of state guidelines mandates a teaching of evolution as a scientific fact, and (2) evolution, of itself, violates the neutrality provision by preferring those who do not believe in a creator over those who do.
The Capistrano Valley Unified School District should quit wasting our tax dollars in defense of a philosophical religion of atheism, started by a man whose only purpose was to move away from God.
