Thousand Oaks Chases Double

Thousand Oaks High will try to record its second historic double in eight days when the CIF State cross-country championships are held today at Fresno’s Woodward Park.
The Lancers won the boys’ and girls’ Division I titles in last week’s Southern Section championships at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, becoming the first program to sweep both major-division titles in the same year.
This morning, they are expected to become the first program to win both Division I state titles in the same meet.
The Thousand Oaks boys, third in The Harrier magazine’s national poll, are heavy favorites.
