WORLD IN BRIEF : MONACO : Prince Undergoes Heart Operation

Prince Rainier of Monaco underwent heart surgery, a procedure carried out “in good conditions,” the palace of this Mediterranean principality said. Rainier, 71, was operated on in the Cardiothoracic Center, according to a brief palace statement. It said doctors decided to operate several days ago after a routine examination.
