Anheuser-Busch Consolidates Bud Advertising: The St. Louis-based company said it is moving its Budweiser account to DDB Needham, dumping D’Arcy, Masius, Benton & Bowles after 79 years. Anheuser-Busch, which spends $200 million annually to advertise all its Budweiser brands, said it will have greater impact with one agency. DDB Needham has been handling creative work for two fast-growing brands, Bud Light and Ice Draft. Bud Light has been recording double-digit growth this year and became the nation’s second-best-selling brand in September. Sales of flagship Budweiser, the nation’s leading brand, have been stagnant.
