SIMI VALLEY : 2 Teen-Agers Shot at, Escape Injury
Two teen-agers escaped injury early Sunday after being shot at near Foothill Park in Simi Valley, police said.
Mathis Smith, 18, and an unidentified 17-year-old were in a car parked in the 1800 block of Charing Court about 3:30 a.m. Sunday when they were approached by two alleged gang members, according to police.
One of the suspects pulled out a handgun and fired at the car, shattering the side windows of the vehicle, but missing the two teen-agers, police said.
The suspects fled the area, officials said.
