Demolition Worker Injured in Fall Through Roof

IRVINE — A 31-year-old demolition worker was comatose and in critical condition at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana on Friday after falling through the roof of an Irvine industrial building, police said.
Alberto Flores of Tustin was stripping the top layer of roofing material from the building at 17871 Von Karman Ave. on Thursday evening when he fell through the roof, plummeting about 24 feet to a concrete floor, said Sgt. Dave Freedland of the Irvine Police Department. Flores sustained head and internal injuries, police said.
