United Leisure Stock Up: Investors in United Leisure Corp., which on Thursday began trading its stock publicly at $3.50 a share, saw their shares gain more than 60% to close at $5.625 in heavy trading Friday on the Nasdaq market. The public offering by the Irvine-based real estate company put 4.3 million shares in play. Of those, 2.7 million--or 63% of the total--changed hands Friday. United Leisure, which operated the now-defunct Lion Country Safari theme park, since 1969 has owned a 300-acre parcel of land in Irvine that it leases. The major tenants are the 17,000-seat Irvine Meadows Amphitheater and the Wild Rivers water park.
