Vans Inc. Faces New Union Election: The maker of casual footwear, which beat back a union campaign earlier this year, said it faces the election in the wake of a complaint by the National Labor Relations Board that it violated federal labor law in battling a Teamsters representation drive. A hearing on the charges is set for April 1, 1995. Labor board and Teamsters officials could not be reached for comment on the Veterans Day holiday.
