Philharmonic’s Return

I was very pleased by Martin Bernheimer’s “Triumphant Opener for Salonen, Philharmonic” (Oct. 8). It is good to know that the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra is back in town and ready for the next season. Being Slavic myself, and knowing the pieces that Music Director Esa-Pekka Salonen has chosen, makes me feel I have missed a great deal of excitement. I could hear the music just by reading the description of the event.
I am looking forward to this music season, and I hope I will be able to see some of the concerts. Thank you for letting me know.
