Huntington Beach is trying to break into show business.
The city is forming a film committee and is looking for residents interested in helping to get more television shows and movies shot in the city.
The committee, to be composed of seven to 15 members, will initially review the current film-permitting process and develop marketing strategies.
City officials hope the committee will make the entertainment industry more aware of locations suitable for filming in Huntington Beach.
