Lilly OKs Restrictions on Deal: Eli Lilly & Co. agreed to unprecedented federal restrictions on its $4-billion purchase of McKessen Corp.’s prescription management business, PCS Health Systems Inc. The Federal Trade Commission said the rules will ensure that the Indianapolis-based pharmaceutical company does not gain an unfair advantage over other drug makers when PCS recommends drugs. Insurers, HMOs and corporations hire such firms to choose drugs for health plan members.
