Cal Lutheran University has elected 10 regents to serve on its 34-member governing Board of Regents, including two local businessmen, university officials said.
Jack Gilbert of Camarillo and David Watson of Thousand Oaks were selected for three-year terms on the policy-setting board last week. The regents are chosen by representatives of the Lutheran church and a handful of students and faculty at the Thousand Oaks university.
Gilbert is founder of the TOLD Corp., a development company in Thousand Oaks, while Watson, a 1978 graduate of Cal Lutheran, is a Woodland Hills stockbroker.
Others elected to the board include the Rev. James Anderson of Redwood City, Ronald Carlson of La Jolla, Siri Eliason of San Francisco, Samuel Giesy Jr. of Huntington Beach, Marietta Johns of Minneapolis and Betty Knox of La Jolla.
Regents Paula Julander of Salt Lake City and Don Stevens of Phoenix were reelected for additional terms.
