Paul Prinz, San Clemente’s baseball coach, resigned last week, Athletic Director Brian Scherbart said. Prinz, who had coached the Tritons the last two seasons, stepped down to devote more time to new business endeavors.

John Avatefi has been named wrestling coach at Cypress, Athletic Director John Selbe announced. Cypress had hired Fred Morgan this year, but he resigned shortly after to apply for another position.

Avatefi has been a walk-on assistant the last two seasons at Cypress.
