PREP ROUNDUP : No. 1 Artists End Perfect League Run

Laguna Beach, the top-ranked team in Orange County, beat Estancia, 12-6, in the final Pacific Coast League girls’ tennis match Monday at Estancia.
Palos Verdes Peninsula, the top-ranked team in Division I, was the only team to beat the Artists (19-1, 10-0), the top-ranked team in Division II.
Amanda Hastings-Phillips swept her sets for the Artists, 6-0, 6-1, 6-1. In doubles, Michelle Bray and Sarah Cohen swept, 6-1, 6-1, 6-0, for Laguna Beach.
In another Pacific Coast League match:
University 15, Aliso Niguel 3--Mariko Takano swept her sets, 6-1, 6-0, 6-0, to give University (10-5, 8-2) the victory and a second-place finish in league.
In the Sea View League:
Corona del Mar 13, Woodbridge 5--Corona del Mar (16-4), the third-ranked team in Orange County, finished league 10-0. Woodbridge is ranked fourth.
Newport Harbor 16, El Toro 2--Katie Canright swept in singles, 6-0, 6-0, 6-0, for visiting Newport Harbor (9-6, 6-4).
In the Sunset League:
Edison 14, Huntington Beach 4--Edison (12-6, 8-2) won all nine doubles sets and finished second in league behind Los Alamitos.
