Royal 28, Channel Islands 0--Although Royal had 12 penalties for 110 yards and four turnovers, the Highlanders crushed the Raiders at Channel Islands.
Royal (3-1, 1-0) allowed only 97 yards.
The Highlanders rushed for 252 yards. Jerome Lee had 116 yards in 16 carries and scored on a 37-yard run in the second quarter.
Ty Russell recovered a fumble early in the first quarter on the Raiders’ 41, and Royal scored five plays later on a three-yard run by Mike Reddington.
Christian Broussard scored on a 30-yard run in the third quarter and Dorirtyuan Stitt scored on a 56-yard run in the fourth quarter. It was Stitt’s first carry of the season.
Channel Islands (1-3, 0-1) was led by Tony Moore, who rushed for 45 yards in four carries.
