2,000 Pupils Expected on Port Field Trip

About 2,000 schoolchildren are expected to participate in a field trip to the Port of Los Angeles on Wednesday.
The activity is an annual event designed by staff in the Harbor Department to teach children about business operations in the port.
Waterfront ’94 will be for third- and fourth-grade students from public and private schools in Wilmington, said Julia Nagano, port director of public and community relations.
She said port tenants will contribute information, mementos and activities.
