Village Christian Bows to Mojave

GRANADA HILLS — Chuck Pierce and Tim Molloy hooked up on two touchdown passes to fuel Mojave High’s 12-9 victory over Village Christian in a nonleague game Saturday at Kennedy High.
Mojave scored the game-winning touchdown with 58 seconds remaining on a 15-yard play, capping a 14-play, 75-yard drive.
Village Christian kicker Ignacio Brache’s 65-yard field-goal attempt fell short as time expired.
The Crusaders (1-2) led, 9-0, in the first quarter on Cory Reisner’s 31-yard pass to Tim Gustafson and Brache’s 35-yard field goal.
