Cal Lutheran played the only National Assn. of Intercollegiate Athletics football game to be nationally televised. The Kingsmen beat Westminster, 30-14, for the NAIA championship in December, 1971. NBC aired the game because of a scheduling quirk that left the network with no other college games. Ross Porter and Tom Hawkins were the announcers.
