United Names Marketing Guru to Head Shuttle Service: The executive will lead the carrier’s short-haul shuttle into the battle with Southwest Airlines for West Coast passengers. Alan B. (Sky) Magary, Shuttle by United’s new president, had more than 20 years’ experience as a marketing executive with Pan Am, Republic Airlines and Northwest Airlines.
