LOS ALAMITOS : Pats Lucky Charm Goes for Third in Row

Pats Lucky Charm, a winner of her last two starts for trainer H.J. Visscher, will go for a third consecutive victory in the $12,000 San Bernardino Overnight Handicap tonight at Los Alamitos.

A 5-year-old First Down Dash mare, Pats Lucky Charm drew the outside post in the field of six older fillies and mares and will carry high weight of 123 pounds. After beating $16,000 claimers by 1 1/4 lengths on July 7, Pats Lucky Charm returned to win an allowance race by three-quarters of a length on Aug. 11.

The rest of the field, from the rail out, in the 400-yard race: High Class Gal, Awesome Blossom, Just A Wildone, The Pie Policy and No Policy Signed.

A race later, 10 3-year-olds are scheduled to race in the $15,480 Sooner Trailer Derby Challenge at 400 yards.

Bluyx, who defeated $20,000 claimers by a nose in his last start on Aug. 12, is one of four horses entered by trainer Blane Schvaneveldt. He will also be represented by First Gray Dawn, Le Ritz and Pecuniary Perks and the latter two will race as an entry.
