No additional ground subsidence has been found along Hollywood Boulevard, but water continues to leak into one of two subway tunnels under construction, Metro Rail officials said Friday.

“What is important to us now is to fully assess the condition and stability of the soils,†said Ed McSpedon, president of Rail Construction Corp.

Crews finished installing steel bracing in a 200-foot stretch of the north tunnel between Hudson and Whitley avenues this week. Engineers monitoring conditions in the tunnel reported that no further ground motion has been detected, and the south tunnel has shown no signs of water leaks.

Crews have been pumping concrete grout into 20 holes drilled in the road to strengthen the soil above the north tunnel. Additional grouting holes will be drilled as far west as Cherokee Avenue by early next week.

Repairs to the Walk of Fame in front of the Pacific Theater are under way. Workers removed 24 stars temporarily to save them from damage.
