Let’s Get Tough With Unlicensed Drivers Too
* Assemblywoman Richard Katz’s proposed legislation for the state to seize automobiles driven by unlicensed drivers does not go far enough. Those driving without insurance also should suffer the penalty of vehicle forfeiture.
We who struggle to meet state-imposed financial obligations are forced into financial ruin and made to feel like fools by those who do not obey the law. The government should not allow people to continue illegal behavior at the expense of everyone else.
