Matt McCrite of Westlake Village defeated Ryan O’Neil of Camarillo, 3 and 1, to win the match-play final of the Thousand Oaks city junior championship at Los Robles Golf Course.
McCrite, a Westlake High student, shot 68 in the stroke-play portion of the event.
O’Neil, who attends Rio Mesa, shot 71.
Softball
Dodgers Mike Piazza and Eric Karros and other celebrities will challenge Hart, a national-champion 10-and-under girls’ team from Santa Clarita, in an exhibition softball game today at 9 a.m. at Culver City Park.

West Hills Pony baseball winter season sign-ups are scheduled Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. The season runs from Sept. 17 to Nov. 20. Players 5 to 17 are eligible.
