Home Fashions Inc.: The $140-million-a-year window-covering manufacturer has agreed to be acquired by housewares giant Newell Co. of Illinois. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Home Fashions, a privately owned company based in Westminster, is a major manufacturer and marketer of window coverings, including vertical blinds and pleated shades. Newell, which markets hardware, housewares and office products, posted 1993 sales of $1.6 billion.
