Chevron to Sell a Portion of Port Arthur Refinery: Chevron U.S.A. Products Co. announced a definitive agreement to sell the Texas refinery for an undisclosed price. The sale to St. Louis-based Clark Refining & Marketing Inc. is expected to be closed in the fourth quarter, Chevron officials said. Under it, Chevron will continue to operate the petrochemicals division of the facility, which pumps 180,000 barrels of oil a day. Chevron will also retain its lube oil packaging and distribution center at Port Arthur.
