MagneTek Airport Systems: The company was awarded a $1.75-million contract to design and install gate equipment to cool parked aircraft at Tampa International Airport.
The 15-gate system will serve a full range of aircraft, and five of the gates will be able to serve jumbo jets as well. MagneTek’s work must be completed by the time the new terminal opens in November, a company spokeswoman said.
MagneTek Airport Systems designs, engineers and manages the construction of airport gates and related systems. The company is also completing ground support contracts, awarded in 1993, at Los Angeles and Orlando international airports.
