While reading the July 25 review of Dwight Yoakam’s performance (“Yoakam Lets Tunes Talk”) once again I ended up shaking my head in disbelief and wondering, how do “critics” get these jobs?
In particular I’m referring to the comment, “His vaguely psychedelic ballad ‘A Thousand Miles From Nowhere’ recalled Roy Orbison’s more contemplative side.” Psychedelic? Roy Orbison? Psychedelic and contemplative? What?
