Protests Don’t Fly
* I could not help being somewhat amused when I read about Reno Air’s difficulties in getting permission to fly out of John Wayne Airport. The article pointed out that this airline’s inability to conduct business here was primarily due to restrictions in the number of flights permitted out of John Wayne.
It is most interesting that the proponents of “more jobs for Orange County--a new airport at El Toro†are the same voices that bleat “restrict the flights and noise†over their sacred ground. How many jobs will continue to be lost by artificially limiting flights into and out of John Wayne, an airport already built and paid for by the taxpayers?
The sheep’s clothing is falling off the wolves.
