U.N. Office Heads for Gaza

CAIRO — The U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees will move its headquarters to the Gaza Strip from Vienna by the end of next year, a U.N. statement said Friday.
The statement released in Cairo said the move was requested by Palestine Liberation Organization leader Yasser Arafat.
The U.N. Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees employs about 8,000 Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank and is implementing projects there worth $80 million, UNRWA has said.
