City Advances New DASH Shuttle Plan
The Los Angeles City Council on Wednesday authorized city transit officials to solicit proposals for a new shuttle service in Sherman Oaks.
The city Transportation Department also has been authorized to start looking for new buses for the new DASH lines.
The DASH shuttle service is one of several such proposals that have been authorized by the City Council. Others are in Lincoln Heights, Chinatown and Highland Park.
The Federal Transit Authority is expected to fund the service.
DASH buses already operate in the Midtown area, Crenshaw, Pacific Palisades, Fairfax, Hollywood, Southeast Los Angeles, Van Nuys, Studio City and Warner Center in Woodland Hills.
