Late Payments Diminish

WASHINGTON — The proportion of bank consumer installment loans with overdue payments reached a 20-year low of 1.74% in the first quarter of 1994, the American Bankers Assn. reported Friday. The rate marks the eighth consecutive quarter of decline.
