Holiday Closings

Today is Memorial Day. The following schedule is in effect:

* City, county and federal offices are closed.

* County, state and federal courthouses are closed.

* City and county libraries are closed.

* Banks and savings and loans are closed.

* Schools, colleges and universities are closed. Los Alamitos Unified School District kindergarten through eighth grades will also be closed Tuesday.

* Mail: There is no postal service.

* Trash: Trash will be collected one day late throughout the week, except in Anaheim and Orange. Residents in these cities with regular pickup today should place their trash curbside on Tuesday.

* Buses: OCTA buses run on Sunday schedule.

* Parks: All city- and county-run parks are open during regular hours.
