Home Sales Continue Strong in April

Southland home sales continued strong in April despite the recent increases in mortgage interest rates. A total of 18,378 new and used houses and condos were sold last month, down 6% from 19,557 in March and up 18.9% from April last year when 15,459 homes were sold, according to Dataquick Information Systems.
Prices have continued to decline in all counties except San Diego and Riverside.
